The boys over at Edge of Reality, have finally desided to step out of licensed properties (Shark Tale, Pitfall) and N64 ports (Tony Hawk, Spider-Man). There first step into designing and creating a game of their own is shaping up to be an amazing piece of content,m Cipher Complex! So far they’ve only released a few tidbits such as that the player will have some upgradability as well as “destructable stuff”. They also let on that the AI is going to be quite different than we’ve seen in the past, shoot out a light and certain AI characters might call for a repair guy to fix the light, others might call in attack parties, others might turn and start shooting. They have also said that the environments themselves will employ a sort of AI themselves, althought they didn’t really elaborate on it.
There also appears to be some big secret that they won’t disclose yet all they’ve come out with so far is “We don’t want to give away our hook just yet,” explained Coles. “But we don’t want to blow smoke and get everyone hyped for something with vague hints either. You’ll see further down the line when we show it to you, some of the interesting things we can’t talk about yet.” So hopefully their talking early 2007 and not december 2007 so we can get more info. Yes it’s coming to the Xbox360 and the PS3 so no one gets left out.
