The PS3 looses another game, this time from THQ.

According to the German THQ site, there will no longer be a PlayStation 3 SKU of THQ’s WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007. Despite being announced in May for the PS3, the game appears to have been shelved or in fact canceled completely. The THQ subsite for WWE vs Raw lacks all mentions of PS3, their is no PS3 tab or any PS3 logos. On top of this a recent post by a German THQ Admin lends to the fact that this is game is completely LOST to the PS3,

WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw 2007 will not be published for the PS3: the title is still coming for PlayStation 2, PSP, and Xbox 360. The background is that the PS3 version became substantially delayed and would be finished much later, so the development team would rather concentrate their resources on the three other platforms. Future games in the SmackDown! series will appear, however, for PlayStation 3. Still if something should change in the present planning, it will be announced here.
If we look back a few weeks this isn’t the first game to loose PS3 support for various reasons (although that reasoning was later retracted and they said it was never planning a ps3 version). But if this dropping of PS3 becomes a trend for this generation of gaming it can really be bad news for Sony. Whether it be because of delays, or development costs, this is just not a good sign of things to come. Sony’s development software and hardware itself has never been the easiest for developers, so perhaps with the 360′s headstart and the obvious low cost and ease of use of the Wii, developers are just beginning to see it easier to shun the ps3 right now.
