Seems the rumors of the 360 hddvd addon drive working with PC’s is a 100% go for gold :) TeamXbox has confirmed that for XP machines, they can use the toshiba hddvd drive driver to make the 360 hddvd addon work, and vista machines have been confirmed to auto detect and playback media from the hddvd drive…
The catch? Well its not so much a catch as a requirement, your PC needs to be HDDVD compatible … as in not a 3 year old junker, dual core is a must from what i’ve heard for video playback, and on XP you’ll need a windvd or some program like it that supports HDDVD playback … but beyond that it turns out the 200$ hddvd addon (with King Kong’s HDDVD included) is compatible with Windows computers.
Seems to me like the 8-10 Million 360 users by years end and the few million compatible computers ane media center computers out their have a very cheap upgrade solution that will work on their PC and 360 just the same… and all for 200$ vs a 500-1000$ standalone drive.
