Optimus OLED Keyboard gets price and date, uggh

You know certain things are just bound to be the most spectacular wicked amazing products ever. Optimus is one of those projects, the OLED based keyboard with every key a seperate micro OLED display. With OLED displays on the market in other products but normally its 1 tiny little oled display on a mp3 player, and mostly single color. So perhaps the fact its so cutting edge is excuse enough that its price has been set at $1536.

What makes it a little bit more understandable is the increadibly limited availability, Apparently also due to the wicked amount of OLED displays. How limited? Well the keyboard is set to ship in November, with only 200 keyboards being produced in november and 200 in december. They say they will see shipments move up to 400 per month in january.

So you get a cutting edge keyboard and on top of that you’re one of only a select few that can even get the thing even if you are able to afford it. The only question is do you think the exclusivity and cutting edge hardware is worthy of over $1500.
