In a meeting between Reuters and Konami, that I caught over at gamespot, i’m REALLY suprised that more people aren’t jumping all over this considering the rate Sony is loosing exclusives and having games infinitely delayed and canceled….
In the interview the following caught my eye as a HORRIBLE sign for sony…
“Since Metal Gear Solid was born for the PlayStation, we would like to keep it a PlayStation game,” Kitaue said. “But we might have to take some steps.”
Yes you read that, after last year Konami saying that they had no plans to move MGS4 away from sony, and no they have differed to “taking steps” after they said also in the interview that they didn’t believe the 100$ price cut of the 360 down to 500$ would do much to improve its dwindling sales figures and lackluster consumer support.
So why isn’t this being mentioned by any of the other sites! This is a huge shift by Konami, could you imagine if sony looses MGS4 exclusivity. That really could be the final nail in sony’s playstation coffin, theirs not much to come back from that, i mean at 500$ loosing your biggest exclusives is never good… i mean after loosing Fatal Inertia (and then having it indefinitly delayed after loosing the exclusivity) MGS4 would be the next worst thing to loose, followed by Final Fantasy and Lair… god forbid at that point the 360 pretty much is no longer even a gaming console lol.
So 360 fans contact your local konami rep and tell them to get off their butts and get MGS over to the 360, cause theirs no way in hell i’m paying 500$ for it lol, So maybe while all those PS3 fanboys are busy screaming how wondeful MGS4 exclusivity is would be better spent walking around their local furniture stores
