Well every day some new interesting gadget changes come around that just are jaw dropping. Then their are breakthrough devices that companies come up with that are just stupid concepts. Well Asus may have somehow found a way to give laptop users something they might not have even realized they originally wanted. Asus’ MS71 brings about 2 items that every laptop user eventually wants, hell I have 1 and want the other. A flash drive and a Portable Mouse!
The idea sounds silly, mixing a flash drive with a mouse but its an idea that has some merit for portable workers. On the down side it is a rectangular mouse and quite small, on the good side… it’s quite small and extremely portable. it works quite simply the bottom of the flash drive snaps off to plug into the USB port. From their it enables full wireless function as a wireless mouse via the part you snapped off, and on top of that an undisclosed amount of files on the appendage that you plugged in.
While we haven’t seen pricing information or the size of the built-in flash, if they can place the pricing and size relevant to current flash drives (4-16gb) then hell yes I want one! Engadget and the others seem to hate it cause of the ergonomics which I will admit will be quite crappy. personally I’d think it would be cooler if the mouse portion could slide apart to a more full sized mouse.
